ILLiad Registration

In summer 2007, we are transitioning all NPRC Document Delivery users from our old online system to a new web-based system utilizing software called ILLiad. As a result, all users (past and new) must register for the ILLiad system in order to use Jacobsen Library's document delivery service.

Who is eligible to register?

Jacobsen Library offers document delivery service to staff and affiliates of the Wisconsin Primate Research Center, Harlow Lab, National Primate Research Centers and other NCRR-supported primate research programs. If you are unsure if you are eligible to use the service, please contact Matt Hoffman.

UW-Madison users are automatically registered for the campus ILLiad system. New Wisconsin NPRC employees should contact Matt Hoffman to verify that they are properly assigned to Jacobsen Library for on-campus document delivery and interlibrary loan services.

Why do I need to register?

The ILLiad software requires users to authenticate in order to access their accounts. Once authenticated, users can submit new requests, manage any past requests that they have submitted, and download any requested documents that library staff have posted to their account.

How do I register?

All other eligible users:

Go to http://library.primate.wisc.edu/illiad

• Under NON-UW PATRONS, select "New Users Register Here."
• Read and agree to the Copyright Warning.
• When filling out the registration form, be sure to use your institutional email address. If you are already registered for Loansome Doc with Jacobsen Library, you MUST enter the same email address that you use for Loansome Doc in the ILLiad registration form.
• You will use your email address and password each time you log in to Jacobsen Library's ILLiad system.
• In the future, the ILLiad system can be accessed at: http://library.primate.wisc.edu/illiad.

Can I still submit requests through Loansome Doc?

Yes, your Loansome Doc registration does not change. However, you still MUST register for the ILLiad system in order to download requested documents when they are made available.

If I'm already registered for Loansome Doc, do I have to register for ILLiad?

Yes, all users must register for the ILLiad system in order to use Jacobsen Library's document delivery service.
