Submitting ILL Requests

The WPRC Library prefers ILL requests through OCLC or DOCLINE, although we will also accept requests by ALA form, FAX, email, surface mail, or phone.

Libraries and other organizations, both in the U.S. and internationally, can request audiovisual items, monographs, and photocopies of articles or chapters from journals, reprints or books located at the WPRC Library through interlibrary loan.

Individuals wishing to borrow items from the WPRC Library must make a request through their local campus library, corporate library, or public library. Audiovisual items can be requested directly (for immediate or future classroom use) via email at wiyill@primate.wisc.edu. Only three audiovisual items can be borrowed at one time.

When requesting items, please supply item call numbers and titles (when known). Also provide a telephone number and verifiable institutional or business address (PO box numbers are not acceptable for shipping purposes). If you do not have an institutional or business address, you must request the items through the interlibrary loan service at your local library.

Please note: We are a lending library. We DO NOT sell videos or any other items in our collection.

WPRC Library holdings are listed on OCLC and SERHOLD/DOCLINE. In addition, books and journals can be searched via MadCat, the University of Wisconsin-Madison's online catalog. Search for Videotapes in the WPRC Audiovisual Collection.

For help with other primate-related materials, contact: library@primate.wisc.edu

If you require rush service, please indicate this in your request.

Notice: Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions

The Copyright Law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
