At present, the June Northrop Barker Archives house four collections. Three of the four collections are available for use at this time. Finding aids are also available for use with each collection. June Northrop Barker Research Papers, 1972-2001
June Northrop Barker (1928-2001) was the first woman professor at Jefferson Medical College, (now Jefferson University) and later a research physiologist at New York University. Dr. Barker focused her research upon the study of cerebral palsy and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). She maintained a colony of rhesus monkeys (macaca mulatta) while at NYU and upon retirement, established the Barker Primate Study Center in Frenchtown, New Jersey for long-term studies of rhesus monkey families.
The Barker Research Papers contain 30 years of research data on rhesus monkeys, including hundreds of audio and video observation tapes, records on nutrition and water intake, dated pregnancies, births and deaths, studies of motor and behavioral activities, reports on geriatric afflictions, photographs, and notes on play and vocalizations.

International Primatological Society Records, 1989-1996
The International Primatological Society Records contain general and executive correspondence, lists of officers and members, council meeting minutes, handbooks, committee minutes and notes, and member directories.
The IPS records are currently closed for processing. A finding aid will be made available here.
W. Richard Dukelow Research Papers, 1929-1995
W. Richard (Dick) Dukelow, professor and director of the Endocrine Research Center at Michigan State University. The Research Papers include the materials used in researching and writing the book, Alpha Males: An Early History of the Regional Primate Research Centers (1995), which chronicles the origins and early history of seven primate centers by examining the lives of the first directors of each center. The collection includes correspondence from many significant figures in the field of primatology, interview notes and audio recordings, materials relating to the founding and operation of the Regional Primate Research Centers, extensive research notes, photographs, memoranda, articles, obituaries and curriculum vitae.

Lawrence Jacobsen Letters, 1973-2003
Lawrence Jacobsen was the long-time director of the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center Library & Information Service (1973-2003). In this role, Mr. Jacobsen grew the library from a small reading room into an internationally recognized information resource in the field of Primatology. This collection includes correspondence with various members of the primatological and academic community regarding research, scholarly visits, and library assistance. The letters reflect the growth and change that occurred in the library over this 30 year period.
