The benefits and concerns of cloning and its research in both humans and non-human animals are discussed with a panel of experts for the House of Representatives Science Subcommittee from such areas as the NIH, the Oregon Regional Primate Research Center, agricultural sciences, and biomedical ethics. The benefits of cloning mentioned include its use in agricultural livestock, transgenics, and the use of genetically identical animals in biomedical research. This program begins with presenatations by the panel members, and then a question and answer session with the members of congress.
